CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY of FORT WORTH

A NOTE FROM GARY LEVINSON

Every new season announcement has a sense of anticipation and excitement. We look forward to reacquainting ourselves with our favorite music and musicians, and making new musical friends.  Yet, 2017-2018 is different; it is our 30th anniversary season.  Thirty years ago, three leaders in the Fort Worth musical community started a chamber music series that would give audiences a chance to hear the great masterpieces in an intimate setting.  In the thirty years since, our series has become one of the most respected in the world, welcoming musicians from over twenty different nations, living composers, performance artists and world-class touring groups.

Education has been and continues to be an integral part of CMSFW, and this year, we are proud to welcome Fort Worth ISD students into our musical family.

This anniversary year will include: a commissioned piano quintet; a special event which offers two rarely performed masterpieces; several Cliburn medalists; and three artists making their CMSFW debuts.  On all facets, this will be a season to remember.  I look forward to seeing you at the concerts!

Come join us for our 30th year.
